Quality breeze
By Avid Rita
My well-stocked hardware store was out of large box fans to replace a busted one from my bedroom window. I reluctantly selected a 12" Bahama Breeze floor fan expecting I might need to return it. No need. It fit well in my window, in spite of a rather short sill. The surprise was how powerful it is. Even the lowest setting gives a good cooling stream, and the highest setting is great exhaust to circulate hot afternoon air out of the house. Exceptionally well engineered and constructed compared to the disposable plastic box fans I've used in past. Not the quietest, but then not jarringly noisy either. Easy carry handle and face tilts easily. Two thumbs up.

Exactly what it says it is
By JeffC
This fan is exactly what it is described as. A simple cage fan that moves a good quantity of air. It is smaller than it appears in the pictures, but exactly the size described in the description. The construction feels very solid and I don't worry that there will be any mechanical issues. It does produce some noise, but not at a distracting level as long as I'm not sitting right next to it. I don't feel like there is much difference between the airflow or noise levels of low and high, so I tend to leave it on high all of the time.I use this fan to place in front of my screen door after work and pull the hot air out of the house. A task which it is capable of on it's own, but just barely. I do recommend that you try pointing the fan out of the house to exhaust hot air, rather than pointing it in to try and draw in cooler air. I believe you'll have better results. I also make sure to open a door or window on the side that the wind is coming from and place the fan to push air out the other side of the house. Working with the wind improves the results as well.
