This fan is built with a Negative Ionizer device that delivers negative ions into the room. Dust, pollen, mold spore, pet dander and smoke particle usually contain positive ions. The negative ions delivered by the fan will neutralize the positive ions to provide a cleaner air.

After much research on Amazon and in a few big box stores, I was decidedly NOT finding a fan I liked. I was hoping for something with a vintage feel, tempted to buy an actual vintage table fan from the flea market. But worried about noise and functionality, I kept looking. Everything else I came across looked cheap or had some pretty terrible reviews. Or were enormously expensive. Who pays upwards of $100 for a table fan!?!Then I stumbled upon this fan. Not my ideal aesthetic but not hideous either. There was only one review when I purchased it, but it was a good one. I decided I wasn't going to find the perfect fan for the price I wanted, and so had to not sacrifice the good for the perfect and just buy something. Things can always be returned. Well it turns out I may have stumbled on the almost perfect fan.Pros:*It actually looks nicer than the pictures show with a nice smooth feel. Not a fancy vintage fan, but not a cheap black plastic piece of crap by any means.*Well constructed.*VERY quiet.*I love that it both oscillates and has a spinning front grate, making the air circulate really well. It feels like a natural breeze is floating through my apartment. It also has three speeds and even the top speed is really quiet.*I am so surprisingly pleased with the ionizer. I live in NYC where the air can be a bit stale and dirty, but the air that comes from this is fresh and clean. Pretty amazing.Cons:*I wish it was a tiny bit bigger. Most table fans are 10-12 inches and this is 9. I worry that will make a difference in the dead heat of summer, but only time will tell.*Would be cool to offer in other colors, but obviously not a real issue.Overly, frankly very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend.

I first purchased this fan at work for my desk. I have since ordered two more for other people who have admired the style of the fan, the performance (rotates, oscillates, ionizes), and especially because it is so whisper-quiet. I have had and used the fan for two years and it still looks and sounds like new.

Great product - Excels at what it was designed for! Unpacked and set up immediately upon receiving item. Very quiet and contemporary looking. Fan is 9" in diameter,which is the Perfect size for setup on a dresser drawer blowing *Downward* - Exactly where I need it to blow. Probably the Only fan I've seen at this price range with all these features (Oscillation, Rotation, Ionizer, and build quality) that can blow *Downward* from an elevated position! Will update again later to see how reliable product is over time - expect it to be durable. Additionally, it is both Cool and Quiet with no rattling even at its highest speed (low, med, high) - the wide boomerang stand aids in its quiet stability. To the manufacturer, the Only option I would recommend is a 12" size be available also - that would be really great for an already great product!Update - after a week with this fan, I purchased another one to replace an old, vertical column fan that broke. The second one is working great also.
