I have another Lakewood 9 inch fan I must have bought 5 years ago and even as old as it is I would give it 5 stars today. I gave this new one only 3 stars because the quality is just not as good and it is so much louder. It does the job OK and I will keep it but if I could find an old one like the one I have had so long I'd buy it & sell this new one in a garage sale. My guess the difference is made in USA & China....

I really didn't expect such poor quality for the price of this fan, especially since I've had Lakewood before. It already makes noise it shouldn't like a rattle.Not very happy with it but it's too much trouble to return it.

This fan to me is alright , It has a slight vibration and after closer inspection it seems where the fan blade connects to the motor , it is slightly bent. Hench creating this vibration, it does kick out a decent amount of air and the vibration is generally mild. The fan itself is good quality and is well put together minus the fan blade area. I am a very picky person when it comes to high velocity fans so if your looking for a cheaper fan that does what it says it does then this will work fine. If you are looking for a high quality tornado making wind storm machine that cuts the air like butter this is definitely not the fan you want.
