I wanted to use this item in my basement but it sounds like a jet engine. I can hear it through the floor throughout both floors of my home. It's not practical for my use, but it is certainly very well made, very powerful, and easy to use. Its just much more industrial than I anticipated. It belongs in a shop or the like where the noise can be better absorbed than in a basement.

At 1708 CFM this fan also packs some Muscle behind it i did purchase Two of these and they are the best units i have ever owned.Unit is loud as to be expected with high RPM sounds a bit like a jet getting to speeds and does not respond well to Fan Speed Controller at low voltage.would buy this again.
