This fan is sold at a MAJOR US & world wide retail chain for $20 less in a slightly different color combination! SAME FAN, we just mounted it to the wall, it helps the circulation in a large living room with inadequate ventilation-big improvement. It is a little on the loud side, like any standard fan, so if you want a quiet fan this is not for you! Do yourself a favor and find out for yourself for HALF the price with little to no effort to find-we are very glad we checked the store first. Normally we find everything on Amazon for less than retail prices; this one is an unfortunate exception.
