The orbital oscillation works very well, and really helps distribute the air without a normal fan that rotates on a base to do it. This takes up a little more room than a normal fan, but doesn't oscillate back and forth, so it needs less clearance than a normal table fan. Good buy for anyone. Got mine for a little over 20 bucks.
